Location: Watertown, NY

Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Travel Nursing)Facility: Samaritan Medical Center

Location: Watertown, New York

Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule

Shift Type: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Duration: 8, 13, or 26 Weeks

Start Date: July 21, 2025 End Date: September 14, 2025

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

On-Call: Required (30-minute response time)

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current NYS RN license or eligibility
BLS required (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
ACLS preferred
Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical experience preferred
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and prioritization skills

Additional Training

Candidates without recent Operating Room experience must complete the six-month AORN Perioperative 101 Education Program
Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam are mandatory for employment

Special Requirements

60-mile radius rule applies (no local candidates within 60 miles)
Weekend, holiday, and call shifts required
May be required to assume charge nurse responsibilities
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills essential
Experience with clinical equipment/instrumentation for OR/ASU settings
Proficiency in lethal dysrhythmia interpretation
